This gallery features photos from two locations in Tamil Nadu state: the city of Madurai and its surroundings, and Kodaikanal.

The official language of Tamil Nadu is Tamil. It is officially the oldest language in the world! The locals are so proud of it that they refuse to speak the national language, Hindi.

Tamil Nadu is the southernmost state of India, not too far away from the island country of Sri Lanka
